Baldur’s Gate 3led the winners at the 20thBAFTA Games Awards unveiled on Thursday evening in London with five honors. Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Viewfinder and Alan Wake 2 won two awards each.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Baldur’s Gate 3 led the nominations with nine and 10 nods, respectively. Nadji Jeterwon the BAFTA for bestperformer in a leading rolefor portraying Miles Morales inthe latter. A total of 40 games across 17 categories were nominated, according to the British Academy.
Baldur’s Gate 3won the awards for best game, music, narrativeandperformer in a supporting roleforAndrew Wincott, who plays Raphael in the game. It also earned theEE Players’ Choice Award, the only BAFTA gaming honor voted for by the public. Among the other winners were The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Dave the Diver.
